ABOUT THE PRESENTERS

Kathy Lansford:     Kathy Lansford was born in Chicago, grew up in Wisconsin and went to high school and college in Austin, receiving her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in English.

Employed by the Texas Employment Commission in Longview, Texas for twenty-five years, Kathy now resides in Austin, where she works for WorkSource as an employment counselor and trainer.

Ms. Lansford has been honored with the James F. Walls Employee of the Year Award by the National Association of State Workforce Agencies and was a finalist in the Austin Business Journal’s Profiles in Power.

Glenn Martin:     With over 21 years experience in the Human Resources industry, Glen Martin has been employed with WorkSource since May 2003. He worked as a program specialist with the Food Stamp Employment & Training program and then migrated to the position of Facilitator and Career Coach.

Glenn is a professional member of SHRM (Society of Human Resource Managers), a Certified International Career/Job Transition Coach, a liaison with PAPA (Political Asylum Project of Austin) for French speaking people coming into the Austin area, a French translator (pro bono) for the Texas Workforce Commission and SPHR candidate.
