General Information
1. Who is WorkSource?
WorkSource is a publicly-funded, non-profit employment agency. We were created by the Texas Legislature in 1995 to provide employment services to Travis County.
2. Is WorkSource the same as the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC)?
No. WorkSource is one of 28 regional workforce systems created by the Texas Legislature in 1995. TWC, however, is charged with overseeing the activities of the workforce systems.
3. My business has locations across the state. How can I find out what workforce area provide services to those locations?

4. Is WorkSource the TWC Tax office?
No. The TWC Tax Office can be reached at (512) 837-8636. They do not have a physical address that is available to the public and can only be reached by telephone.
5. Are the services provided free or for a fee?
Because WorkSource is a publicly-funded, non-profit organization, many of the services including job posting are at no-cost to employers. Some services, such as skills assessments and business seminars, are expanded services and are offered at a competitive rate.
6. Do you have facilities I can use to conduct recruiting and interviewing?
Yes. We have three Career Centers in Austin from which qualified employers can base their recruiting efforts. For more information, please click here.
7. I am not sure what I should expect to pay for a newly created position. Can you help me?
Yes. The Business Services Team has access to the most current labor market information for this area including average salaries for hundreds of occupations.

8. How can you post my job opening for free when I have to pay other job boards?
WorkInTexas.com is funded by the Texas Workforce Commission and is offered to all Texas employers and job seekers at no cost.
9. How long will my job opening remain in WorkInTexas.com before it closes?
The job opening will automatically close 30 days after listed unless extended. We suggest you stay in contact with the Business Services Team to insure maximum activity for your posting. You can also monitor your own posting if you have an ID and password.
10. WorkInTexas.com will not allow me to login. Is there something wrong with my password? How can I assess my account?
Periodically, WorkInTexas.com requires a change in password to maintain the security of the system. If you cannot logon, please call the Business Services Team at (512) 485-3790, and they will provide you with a new password.
11. Can I receive training on how to post a job in WorkInTexas.com?
Yes. While most users find WorkInTexas.com to be user friendly, the Business Services Team provides periodic training. We can also provide one-on-one consultation on how to navigate WorkInTexas.com.
