To provide businesses with the information and skills they need to succeed, WorkSource offers no- and low-cost seminars to employers of all sizes and from all industries.

The Business Advantage Seminar Series offers seminars and workshops on topics such as strategic decision making, Internet marketing and effective communication. These seminars/workshops are taught by experts in their fields and include professional speakers from the Austin area, business executives, professors from The University of Texas at Austin and instructors from Austin Community College. The cost of registration ranges from $20 for a three-hour seminar to $200 for a full-day seminar. “No Cost” seminars are also offered throughout the year.

The Lunch & Learn series is a great opportunity for employers and employees on the go. These brown bag events offer training on topics such as project management and negotiating sales. The seminars are offered at no-cost.

WorkInTexas.com Orientations

The WorkSource Business Services Team also provides training to employers on WorkInTexas.com, a no-cost job posting and applicant matching tool provided by WorkSource. This orientation will show employers how to place a job order, search for applicants and much more.

Training sessions are held at least once a month at the WorkSource - Career Center, North. Please check the calendar of events for the latest schedule.

The WorkInTexas.com training is free, but employers must register by sending an email to the Business Services Team.
