WorkSource – Child Care Solutions helps eligible low- to moderate-income families afford the cost of quality child care services in Travis County. On average, WorkSource - Child Care Solutions provides child care funding for more than 3,000 children each day – more than any other organization in Travis County.

Solutions for Parents

With state and federal funding, WorkSource helps offset the cost of child care for parents who are currently working, participating in a job-training program, or enrolled in school. Our child care program also offers parents the freedom to choose the provider that best meets their needs. For parents that need assistance in choosing a provider, however, WorkSource offers a network of child care facilities throughout Austin and Travis County as well as basic tips on choosing a provider.

In addition to funding child care services, WorkSource is also partnering with hundreds of child care providers in the area to improve the quality of child care. From staff training to new learning materials for the classroom, WorkSource is helping give parents the peace of mind they need in order to pursue employment and training opportunities.

Opportunities for Providers

WorkSource gives providers the opportunity to join a network of more than 300 area child care providers who receive referrals from our program. In addition, WorkSource offers numerous services and opportunities aimed at helping providers improve the quality of care and develop better business skills. These services include technical assistance, learning materials and equipment for the providers’ facilities, staff training, and much more.
